Beta-2-glycoprotein , apolipoprotein H, is a cofactor in antiphospholipid antibody binding and is the critical antigen in the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. Beta-2-glycoprotein antibody is more specific than cardiolipin antibody; cardiolipin may express reactivity in patients with syphilis and other infectious diseases.
